I hate to tell you supporters of Ron Paul, but even if he became President, he could do nothing without Congress and the Senate.

The Congress and the Senate, write and pass the laws, as well as hand out our money to pay for the laws they pass. Ron could do nothing without a heavy support base from the Democrats and Republicans.........................sorry,,,,I'm still laughing....OH!!!!......OH, THAT"S SO FUNNY !!!!

At best, he will be a Lame Duck President, that they can blame for everything that goes wrong.

It would be better to concentrate your time and money electing Congressman andSenators to office where they can affectCHANGE,,,,WORDS,,JUST WORDS !

Don't get me wrong, I know there are problems, and Ron Paul has some interesting answers. But his attempt to run for President, before he has any base in the Congress, or the Senate, is just a further waste of your money !

I first came across Ron Paul in the early eighties or there abouts. He has an interesting following but has been unable to make a large impact. This election is much too important IMO to use votes to make statements which will go largely ignored. Maybe the right way to spin the "lesser of two evils "is to "vote against the larger evil." Paul is scheduled to make a statement on sept 10 per wikeipedia.

 Heya.

I watch multiple forums. When I start my browser it pops up with ten tabs for various venues, and most are political. Something I've noticed, consistently, on those forums is that for some reason unknown to me, Ron Paul supporters have a great tendency to go off the deep end when disagreed with. I mean completely trippin' off the line. One popular modus operandi was to "fix" online polls, voting repeatedly in order to give the illusion of great support for Paul. Really bizarre, obsessive behavior.

Now I understand that any group of people under any banner have a few excitable folks in their number, but this seems to be a real phenomenon, observable over and over.

I don't really understand it. Maybe someday someone will clue me in on the cause of these hysterics. He seems to really attract eccentrics.

Boy, I'm really askin' for it here, aren't I?  :D

 John,

Yeah. That's funny. I DID try to leave the door open for a "We get excited because the issues are so important" response.

In any case, I was thankful when your post popped up and shielded mine from casual observers. haha

Not really Parks,

It's rather easy to understand, Politics and Religion are emotional subjects, and people take their opinions very strongly, everyone thinks their correct ! And we all know, if someone agrees with YOU, that they are intelligent, now if they disagree with you they are stupid ! EASY !

The same goes for a car, or an airgun, that YOU do not like, they must be stupid to have selected that make or model !

Over the years, I have observed that people are all different in their likes in smell, color, taste, music and even their idea of beauty ? But that's what makes life interesting ! The differences !

Just MY observation, and I do not understand just why, it must be a learned as a small child :)

Don't get me wrong guys, I like Ron Paul but I'm not one of those "crazies".  I just like his views on the constitution and gun rights but your right Bill there is no way he could get any of his stuff to pass congress.  I just wish there was a better choice than Mccain. His work on the amnesty bill, the gang of fourteen that ruled the senate, opposing drilling in ANWR  all really bother me to the core.  He's since changed his mind on some of these but his original choices reveal a lot about the man.  I am proud of his military service but sometimes when people (even war hereos like Mccain) get inside the washington beltway they forget their ideals.  His choice of Palin was a masterstroke but that is one of the few good choices he's made, I'm still gonna vote for him but I find myself thinking "am I voting for him or against Obama?.  I just never had a choice in the matter, all the candidates just dropped out before they came to Texas.  It was like the other guys saw the writing on the wall that said "by the powers that be" Mccain will be the nominee.
