More photos of the fun shoot at Gene's will follow but first things first:
Thank you, thank you THANK YOU!!! What a great day.
And why post this on the shop forum? Well, in addition to a lot of fun shooting and matching names to faces (and airguns), there was some serious "shop" stuff going on. Roger followed suit and with Tim's M's help, and now there is another 350 "Chopper" on the loose, complete with a custom muzzle brake from Gene. Ever seen two guys with an electric cut-off saw chopping 6 inches off an air gun barrel and then re-crowning the chopped barrel with an electric drill on the tail-gate of a pick-up while sipping adult beverages under a shade tree? Ever seen a grown man giggle when he shoots? Take a look at Roger's new "Chopper. It shoots great.
Gene was kind enough to machine me a camera-to-gun rest adaptor for my tripod. Simple, right? But I can tell you this was absolutely great to shoot from! From now on, I can forget lugging a shooting bench to future get togethers. I'm cranking back in my Coleman chair with the cup holder, setting my pellets on my cooler and shooting from my new camera tripod bench rest. Gene: you must add this to your regular product line! People will want this.
And finally CDT, AKA Bob chucked up my Cree light in Gene's lathe and viola! The 2250-XT is now tactical! Got the stainless steel version of the Cree light at dealextreme.com. Check out the photo. I think it is plenty bright out to about 25-30 yards to shoot the the scope in complete darkness. More to follow about Gene's gathering. I had a wonderful time today. Thanks again.
