I feel your pain Randy ! That was me first few years after I moved up here. Deer season for several years was just sit in a tree and freeze while listening to everyone around me get a deer.
Went Pheasant hunting with some freinds and spent the entire day walking and seeing nothing. A week later I come home from the store and there's a Pheasent struting around my backyard and I can't touch it !!! The only other Pheasent I saw was while still hunting Deer, I almost stepped on it going through a hedge row.
Turkeys were everywhere except where I was calling from. Again, still hunting Deer on an east facing ridge, I had 12 Turkeys working up hill, searching for food within 10 yards of where I was standing in a small clearing. Couldn't help thinking why they never come around during Turkey season .... and what would a 12 ga slug would do to a Turkey !!!

A few years of only seeing the wrong game, at the wrong time can make ya a bit crazy !!!!
After a few years of that, things changed (or I did) and I started seeing the right game at the right time.
Like the others said - hang in there, you'll get 'em.
Paul.
