Make that call, Tat2d.  Never regretted a time I talked to Dad, but now I regret the times I didn't.

I know what you're goin through Paul. I just lost my dad this past March. It's a hard deal to go through. It's still hard, but it gets easier over time.

Hey Paul give me a call if you pass through Texas on your trek West.  Or just give me a call to chat if you'd like.  Either way keep in touch so we know you're ok.

I lost my father before I really knew I had one.  It was 9 days before my 6th birthday, but the few memories I have of him I keep real close to my heart.  Keep those memories close and that person really never goes away, or at least that's what works for me.  When times are rough I still talk to him in thought, and somehow I usually find my way through whatever my problem is...they're still there, just not in the same way.

Take care airbud,
Dan

Paul buddy,

I wouldn't tell anyone what to do, but I'll tell you that no matter how far you go you will never out run the memories of your dad. I lost my dad 14 years ago, and I think about him often, and the fond memories of my youth. All that I can say is think what your dad would say. And I think he would tell you life is for the living, so go out there and live your life.

I wish you the very best Paul, in what ever you decide to do, go with God !

Sorry to hear that Paul.  :0 I don't think any of us are ever ready to say good bye. My Dad is battling cancer as we speak and he's only 55. I'm not ready. Going AWOL is ok as long as you remember you will never out run it will always be there but a break is definitely in order. Good luck and be safe if you take your journey. Again I'm sorry.

Paul, you have my deepest condolences.  I can only imagine the grief you are feeling right now but please hang in there.  Although you will always have a sense of loss, friends, family and  time have a way of helping all of us cope with the passing of a loved one.

Paul...Prayers are up for you and your family...I know how you feel as I lost my Dad 15 years ago and the first thing I thought was I lost my Go To Man.  Well, now we are the Go To Guy's for our family.  Cherish your memories and pass on his wisdom to those that need it and you'll do your Dad proud.

Paul,
I feel for ya bro, its hard to loose someone you love.  I lost my dad to cancer back in 02.  Its hard, damn hard at times.  Just cherish the memorys.  It also made my mom and me alot closer.  You and family are in our prayers.  God bless.
