The last photo above shows a very narrow scrape in the finish at the bottom of the cocking slot. I really haven't noticed this before but that must be where my wedding ring rubs against the wood when I am shooting. That should be easily touched up. The photo also shows a scraping of the cocking channel inside the stock. That was there when I got the gun. I took off the action to see if there were any signs of continued damage but there were no wood fibers or dust present anywhere on the cocking mechanism or inside the stock itself. As I said there was a nylon or plastic washer inserted in the cocking lever joint I guess to reduce side to side play in the lever joint. Although, it didn't seem to cause any harm, I removed it and bent in very slightly the opening of the arm so that the joint was minutely tighter with only a little play. Don't think that this will make any difference in either the cocking of the gun or additional scraping of the wood. Also, in the photo it looks like the bluing may be splotchy, it's not - I didn't wipe the metal down before I took the photo.
To sweeten the deal, I've reduced the price to $225 plus shipping or $250 including shipping, which ever turns out to be the best deal.
