That seemed to be more of an issue when I just had springers. And even then, I reached a point where I was less interested in adding another shooter to my collection, and more inclined to trade off something that I either didn't like or had lost interest in. I'm doing the same thing with PCP's. I only have 3 right now, and those 3 cover a wide range of use and power. I turn my S200 down to 6 or 7 fpe for indoor 10M shooting in the winter, at the other end of the scale I have my newest acquisition, my Evanix Renegade Carbine doing almost 40 fpe. In the middle is my Hammerli Pneuma, and like most middle children, it spends a lot of time being ignored :-). Of the three, the Pneuma will go first, the S200 I plan on being buried with, and the Renegade falls somewhere in between. But at the moment, there really isn't anything seriously on my wish list, so nothing is going anywhere for awhile. Nor do I intend to add to the collection. I'm not a collector, I'm a shooter, and if I don't shoot it, it doesn't need to be here collecting dust.
I like Tommy's idea of a gun exchange, and in that spirit, I'd put the Pneuma on the list if anyone was interested. As an exchange, I'd like to try out a BSA PCP, a vintage match rifle, and I'd still like to play with a big bore. Not sure how you'd equalize values with an exchange, Tommy, it was your idea, how about fleshing it out a bit? Of course, I guess we'd need to know if there were enough people interested to make it worth while. Maybe it's time to post my very first poll.... Later.
