A Crosman 1377 would be on my list, with suitable minor mods. If you can take pumpers, this is a lot of gun and you can do anything with it. A 1322 might be even better if you can find one. Benji HB22 is another hefty MSP that I wish I had.
I have blasted sparrows with the P3, under 15 yds. Ok for little pests, not a real hunter.
I really haven't found a springer pistola I would recommend for anything other than the smallest vermin and birds. The most powerful ones are hard to be accurate with, and they still really aren't very powerful. I just got the HW45 and haven't put numbers together yet, but I can be hopeful. The P5 Magnum is at the upper end, and it's really not much in the way of FPE. You might bag a squirrel out to 15 yds. but it would be dicey.
Now then. You do know thatCrosman is introducing the Marauder pistol this summer? Now THATis what I'm talkin' about.
I just don't care for CO2 guns but they actually make sense for hunting pistols.
