Okay, I am new to speingers (I had a .22 sheridan that served me well for 20 years) so this may seem like a dumb question but why would Gamo make them and advertise them to be used in the gun if they can damage it. The gun I bought came with a 50 pack of the darn things. I was not impressed with the accuracy of them by the way. Lots of flyers but they sound good when fired. The speed and hardness of them seem to limit the shock factor for hunting. I did see a Gamo video where they shot and killed a 180 lb. pig with them.
I waited until I had put about 1000 rounds of premiers through my shadow before I tried the PBA'S. They don't seem accurate enough to use for hunting. THe video I saw said the gun used fired PBA'S at 1600 fps. IF they aren't accurate at 1200 fps, how could they be at 1600fps.
