Airgun Scope Ratings. (rate your scopes for others)
« on: October 24, 2006, 12:44:27 PM »
I'm putting together a spreadsheet of all the scopes airgunners have used so that if anyone else is looking at one, they will know if it will hold up or not and/or whether or not it will focus down to 10 yards and what recoil it can withstand.
Here is the link
http://www.kermitairgunclub.com/scopes.htm
Please email me with any scope info you have so I can update the chart. Thanks.
I think it will benefit every airgunner.
Also, if you have any suggestions for added ratings info, let me know.

A great idea Robert. I get questions every day about scopes and don't know how to advise them as there are so many variables involved. When you get it set up, let me know and I will link it up on my website. Might want to consider scope and mount combinations also.

Awesome Charlie. Thanks. There's a lot of variables in scope mount combos. Not sure to go about that one....

...are adjustment knobs that you can turn with your fingers and that aren't normally covered by dust caps.

And speaking of which, the Simmons 44 Mags Target Turrets are the best of both worlds.  Nice large, clearly marked knobs, with gasketed dust caps.  I like them better than the turrets on my Leapers.

A link would be great Gene. I hope everyone participates and we can get a really good database. I came up with the idea after looking at scopes on eBay and I didn't have a clue whether or not they would focus down to 10yards or hold up on a springer. So maybe we can get a spreadsheet that will let us know. Thanks for your contribution!!
