I have been dialing in the new R7 for a couple days now, and think I may have finally got it pretty well zeroed in. I took it out back and tried to see if I could find some live targets moving around the yard. I scoped around and before long I saw movement up in the trees about 30 feet up, He was hard to see through all the leaves and then finally he apeared on  a large silver beech tree. I got him in the crosshairs and let one fly. I heard the infamous pop and the squirrel came falling to the ground, and I think he was DOA before he even hit the ground. I am glad to have a R7 back in my posession, I really missed my old one.

Just curious, how "loud" is an R7?  What pellet did you use btw?

Harry, the R7 is the quietest springer I own... very quiet and very backyard friendly :)  I used a CP 7.9  that comes in the cardboard box. I have a lot of .177 pellets, but I tried an open box I had laying around of the CP 7.9 and it seems to like them. I am still to chrony and try grouping different pellets with it.

Yes it is a grey squirrel, our seasons in CT for squirrel are  January 1st - Feb 29th.  sept. 1st - 30th and oct. 18th - Dec 31st.
