Evanix Huntingmaster AR-6
« on: October 28, 2006, 12:54:44 PM »
Anyone ever heard of this one?? It is a PCP revolver rifle!? A six shot double action repeating rifle with a manufacturers stated velocity of 1350 in 22 caliber!! It fires medium power if you shoot it double action and fires at full power in single action mode. If anyone has any kind of information or experience with this rifle I would really like to know more about it. The stated velocity has to be a typo. I saw it at Air gun express for what seems like cheap money but it didn't state where it was made. Fill me in if you got any info, thanks.

I found this video clip on the Hunting Master AR-5(Evanix AR5). Really good video. Shows normal shots and slow motion shots. Worth a look.

Will keep adding more of what I find out.

Thanks for your post, very interesting.

Shoots straight and hard the most I could get out of mine is 1175 I like it very much BUT if you don’t have very big hands it will feel out of place I wear  XXL gloves and its almost to big for my hands.
The revolver is nice no jamming and easy on the pellets I get a good 10 shots on full power double action is a bit hard to pull off with any accuracy but still nice to break up the monotony of formal shooting and hunting.

The Evanix Huntingmaster AR-6 really is a pleasure to shoot I gave this gun a 5 thubs up at

I couldn't get the video Gene, I don't even know where it was to begin with but the second link to the review was very good. I am now seriously thinking of getting me one of those. I've been looking for a magnum powered 22 to use on larger vermin as I had a bad time with a skunk recently who just wouldn't give in and that was not a good felling for myself as he deserved to depart this world a little quicker. Thanks for the replies to all so far, very helpful.

I have one. I just was able to shoot it for the first time today and all I can say is "WOW" the amount of power is unbelievable. I have a lot of work for the next couple of weeks so I can't comment on the gun until I've hunted with it. But I like it a lot.

It is probably as loud as my Samatra on full power. The Samatra has a six round mag and shoots 31gr pellets with an FPE in the mid 60's. These magnum PCP shoot hard. Did you see how big those birds were? :) Would like to see how they work on ground hogs found in NZ..

Sure thing. I bought the gun only because of Jim Chapman's review and asking the guys who used it on the African airgun hunt if they liked it. If I get out of work early tomorrow I will play with it a bit.

Hey Bart

Jim Chapman's has some great reviews and stories on the different air rifles and ammo. His story on the Samatra finally made my decision on my Samatra. Only thing is I did not get the Carbine...:)
