In da Tuna's B19 guide he refers to 100% pure sulicone grease such as Permatex 100%tune up grease or Versachem 100% pure.... Also, in the Library he refers to going to the auto parts store and asking for the silicone grease for spark plug boots. I have seen this in small envelopes for the terminals of car batteries at Autozone. But I have 100% silicone "Plumbers Grease" for valves, washers etc. on hand and am anxious to open the G1. Thinking of getting a guide set from Paul. I alsobought crosman springs and piston seals that I may install first while waiting for the "Fix" kit.

i only use moly and heavy tar in the G1.
from what i read da tuna recommends silicone only in a leather seal gun.

On the seal at the top of the piston??? I thought little to no petroleum in the pressure side of the receiver? Check out "OK we are ready for assembly" part of tune guide.

So do you lubricate the seal itself? If so, with what?

I use a tiny bit of moly on the lip of the seal that contacts the compression tube.
I don't use any lube in front of the seal.
