Questions for you RWS 350 .22 shooters...
« on: October 01, 2008, 07:51:45 AM »
In your experience, what Pellets perform the best for accurate hunting at 50 yds?  Does this apply for shortened barrels too?

For this model air rifle, what range of pellet weight should I be shooting to avoid damage to my spring?  12-16 grains?

Thank you.

Go git \'em!

I don't have the 350, but I have read some about it.  I do recall reading that the 350 really likes JSB Diablo Exact Jumbo, RWS HP, and RWS SP, in that order.  I've also read that the weight you should strive for are between 14-16 grains, but you're gonna hear mixed opinions on that.

What you could do is order an RWS sampler pack and see what your 350 likes the best.

I don't do any hunting with mine except for the occasional G-hog , but at 45 yards I can hit a golfball all day long. I mainly use Crosman Premier 14.3, but  JSB 15.8 are just as accurate. I have some Crow mags that shoot good but there is a lot more kick with them and also have tried those predators and they are quite accurate. I shot some Tomatoes at 30 yard and the CP's just passed threw no big deal but the crow's and the predators made the tomato explode. So under 30 I would use them and over I would use the CP's . I also have some RWS super domes that I don't think are as accurate so I don't use them.

My .22 350 likes  CPL's, RWS -SHP's, Crow Magnums and Predators.  I did quite a bit of hunting with it using the RWS-SHP's and Predators and took a good many squirrels and G-hogs out to about 40 yards.  While the RWS-SHP's performed well I now have the rifle sighted in for the Predators which are my primary hunting pellet....
