batteries

Slightly off topic, but I just found this deal on some great batteries and a nice charger. Excellent package price:

This includes eight Sanyo Eneloop AA batteries, which are the gold standard for rechargeables. This setup would probably avoid buying any batteries for years to come, and provide more output for high discharge use like bright flashlights, cameras, or motor driven items.

The package also has four high capacity generic AA's, four AAA's, and four each plastic adapters for C or D size use. And this "smart" charger is a very nice unit, has gotten great reviews.

Total is $63 shipped. This is a great value. The Eneloops alone are worth up to $30 depending on where you find them. Sale ends 10/31, plus Thomas Distributing is a class A vendor.

Thanks for the info Jerry,,,, I have been using rechargeables for a long time but was unaware of the new advances the Sanyo batteries have. I ordered one of the packages. Always did good business with Thomas too..  Also noted that there are other brands of the slow-discharge but all about the same price. But perhaps Sanyo is the leader right now. Thanks Again... Frank
