Hey buddy,,, Ya know what bliss is..  Here I have been sitting here for weeks wishing I had not killed all the varmits..  You ship me my new weapon and the airgun God steps up to the plate and gives me the target strait from Hell..   17.5 INCH black rat..[ exotic ]. I was in the kitchen smoking, CUZ THE WIFE MAKES ME... Peering out the window feeling sorry for myself when out from under the smokehouse he came.. straight for the bird feed.. I spent a good part of the afternoon sighting in the shadow and getting used to her and felt preaty confident in her abilities...
  so it was off to the shop to get the gun.. when i came back. i emeadiatly inserted a .177 predator in her and stuck the barrel out the window...  I positioned the crosshairs on the feed and waited..  he didn't dissapoint me.. he snuck right into th crosshairs..  phhhaaat.  flipped his little furry varmit arse...  I was shocked at the size of him when i got out there.. the shot was at 10 meters and at the far end of the deck where i keep the rifle feed...

 HEY is that a little lung hangin out there... lol

  WHAT A THRILL TO GET A JET BLACK TROPHY RAT ON THE FIRST DAY.....

Hey Randall, great lung shot. Rack one up for the NRA buddy. I am sure she will bag her share of cridders over the years.. Thanks for the pics and for sharing your great news..:) And that is sure a nasty looking rat.. yikes!

Thanks bud.  Its hard to see them thru the scope in the dark, so I installed a 25 watt bulb on the back porch..  I can just see thier dark shadow when they come out , if i don't have my Zenit IR2 night vision on.. But I  can't hook it to the gun so I watch for them with the night vision glasses, and when i see them i load the gun and get ready... Its super cool...  need more bird feed.......

Great shot on a big rat!  I actually saw a rat yesterday that appeared to dwarf the last one I posted (just a bit under 18" with tip of tail missing)  This one had to be 20"+ and fat!  I'm going to be waiting for him fri night......
