QB78/79 BREECH
« on: October 21, 2008, 10:28:16 PM »
It still amazes me that with all the wonderful things you guys churn out that still no one has made a custom breech for the QB78/79 models. I feel there are endless possibilities to be had here. Go on someone, give it a go!!!

If it aint broke, don't fix it... If anything, I would maybe attempt a repeater breech, but I'm content with it's current design.

I thought Rich from Mich had done it, but he has just made a spscer block that goes in between breech and gun. What I'm thinking is a high rise breech like the ones RJ Machine makes for Crosmans.

Howdy graham,

I do like to fix things that are't broke, but if no one else has done this and you feel strongly about it perhaps make up some drawings of what you have in mind and some of the folks with the knowledge here might want to help? Don't know :)

Dave
It\'s OK to explain why it won\'t work, but I like to give the guys making it work plenty of room:)

I want to make mine into left handed versions, which I hear isn't difficult.

I'm probably going to transfer punch the ends of the bolt slots, drill holes at the ends, and connect the dots with an end mill.
