Picture of 3 out of 4
« on: October 29, 2008, 04:45:59 AM »
As I posted before , I sold my target stocks and replaced them with afctory beech stocks. Here's a picture of 3 of them. two Air Arms S400C Carbines and a S400H Classic. I'm still waiting on another factory beech stock to put on my other Classic. No more bling for me . I'm kinda liking it that way . ( for now anyways hehe) kirby

One , I grew tired of the extra carry weight , Although the stocks did balance perfectly when shooting offhand or from a rest. But were heavy carring around the range in my gun carrier . Also, after the big deal made about Scott Thome EV2 in a custom stock winning the Nationals in hunter class , I decided I didn't want to be part of that controversy . And, I got almost enough cash out of the sales to start building me a storage building in my backyard to store my bicycles in . I may down the road get Brian to build me another custom stock , but it'll be a sporter style , not a target model. kirby

David and Peak, those sure are some beautiful air rifles. Even without the custom wood they look very nice. I never bought a custom stock for any of my air rifles but have thought about it many times. The extra weight just was not in my forte..:) Just the nicely designed wood stocks from the manufacturers are good enough for me..:) And they sure look awesome. Thanks for sharing your babies Gene

You "need" one custon stock,
« Reply #14 on: October 30, 2008, 11:47:29 AM »
Nce pictures all. Kirby I cant believe you went back to stock stocks (I can sort of understand but, ouch). I just could't ever again live with a factory stock but then again I have short arms, long fingers, cant bend my neck ..... .
You could',t py Tammy's AA stock away from her, custom fit/balanced/inletted for weight loss and balance, and "shinny" (what she wanted other than light & a 13-1/2" lop).

Anyone need a lightly used lefthand AA 400/410 factory stock?
