TAC 1 going under
« on: November 10, 2008, 08:20:21 AM »
the CAMO KNIFE! so to speak. After sorting out some accuracy issue's , did a recrown and opened her back up to check the tune. She's spot on again and ready for a camo job which will be a  color scheme that should work for fall  as well as into spring and summer, I'll keep all updated on her progress.:) I did customized some padding for the cheek area and it will remain, just mask and shoot.:) Ed

Yup her and I were going round and round for awhile with her accuracy, I would pull her apart and go through everything, perfect so I said enough and gave her a crown job. I kept doing double takes today when I was sighting her in at 30yrd's. Here's a pic of the result's, I always just draw out a critter head, smaller then it should be hehehe, makes me focus more. There was a slight wind but I'm real happy with the result's. Ed

Just trying to hit something hehe. I'm thinking that I will do a digital camo style on it, working on some stencils now. Ed

Rob I did a chrony reading before I took her down for camo work and she was spitting out lead at about 720fps. which is not bad considering it's rated at 800fps. :) Ed

The stock is mounted in the paint rack, need to mask off the cheek pad and prep. Here's the first digital stencil, one more to do and start slinging some color. That's my homemade spray rack, you can spin it without touching your work.:) Ed

You are just slinging paint on all your guns. I am also looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.  Looks like you will be able to take it techno dancing at the night club when you're done. Is that the stock trigger? Nice shooting on the mini nutter. If that group was with the stock trigger I will fall off my rocker. And you will be my new hero. Jeff will move to number 2. Gene to number 3. Sorry Gene he kills more critters than you. HEHE;)

Dan oh yes that's the stock trigger hehehe but I did pull it apart during the tune and touch up a few part's. It was rough like the Gamo trigger's at first but between a little bit of TLC and shooting it's got a nice light pull to the second stage so to speak and then BAM!. Ed
