2300 has a new look
« on: November 15, 2006, 07:41:00 AM »
This is my custom shop 2300 with a set of Rick's wonderful grips.
These are an ambidextrous design in Walnut.
They feel every bit as great as they look, and the pistol balances just about perfectly.

(this was supposed to show the sight picture...looks like I kinda goofed. oh well.)

other info:
10.5" Crosman .177 barrel
Long Steel Breech.
Hammer Debounce Device.
LPA rear sight.
2250 fiber-optic front sight.

Valve and related springs and ports are all stock as of now.

Crosman Custom shop 2300's.  Basically a 2240 with some options.  Joben's is sporting a beatiful set of Rick Andres grips, and mine has a set of maple/walnut grips that I made, polished steel bolt and bolt handle from Art at Arts Shack, full length brushed aluminum barrel shroud by Roy at Mountain Air, and a BSA Red Dot.  Really comfy and nice to shoot pistols....my first runner up next to my custom QB's....wish I owned 10 more:)

Wow I just priced one out, a little over $100... NOT BAD AT ALL. I might try to piece one togeather. Any caliber that would be recommended? Also is it a viable hunting handgun? Say max distance of 20-25 yards..

Well power with a 14" barrel in .22 should be a bit over 8 fpe, ~500 fps with 14 grain pellets...Hits with a pretty decent smack.
Expect about 450 with the 7.5" and somewere i the middle with the 10" of course.

Thats stock proformance mind you...If you're at all DIY inclined you can modify them for more power :D

I realy realy like these guns.
I also have a heavily modified 2250 rifle, which is basicaly the same thing.
