...we had a shop aboard ship that worked with aviators breathing oxygen. Somehow, someway, one of the guys from that shop introduced a small amount of petroleum to a pure oxygen environment, needless to say he is now dead, serious explosian. It was a sad day to say the least. That shipmate of mine slept in the bunk straight across from me and I can still remember how everyone left small items on his bed in respect, then one day it was all gone and someone else moved in. Please don't EVER use oxygen for anything except for what it was intended for, and even then you need to be careful. People see oxygen as a good thing that they need to breath, but few realize how dangerous it is to handle. I see by previous posts that the point has been made, I just wanted to give first hand experience with the dangers of oxygen. Be safe!
