I am never satisfied unless I'm 1 holin or close and I think most here are the same..   when the chance comes we are ready... Great shootin bro.....

I think the coice of using an air rifle, especially the Whisper was well thought out.  I lost a dog to coyotes several years ago and have friends from church that had a dog nearly killed in their back yard by a coyote.  It's open season year round.  We are getting an influx of armadillos here in Georgia and they are not indiginous either so again it is open season year round.

You still got the TX 200 MkIII scoped or have you switched over to the darker-dark side with the new AR 410?

TOMMY I just shot 25 rounds out back.. Yes the tx 200 .22 is the weapon of choice...  5 superdomes did real well, 5 predator held a good group but were 1" low.   5 crow mags were a little wild and then, 5 bear cubs were the best of the bunch...

I can't fill my AA S410C yet cuz , cuz ain't sent my fill valve out yet.  I need to cuz him... long weekend and no PCP for me......

Real bum-air, cuz you could be shooting the AA410.  But I didn't intend to hi-jack the coyote thread.  Sorry.

Air guns are capable of dropping big game with shot placement and the right pellet for the job, you had the combo. GREAT!!!!!!!!! SHOT PLACEMENT and pic's. Very impressive and my hat's off to you for such a fine trophy and for the elimination of a animal the was endangering and killing family pet's. Yote's do become unafraid of human's and pet's when living in area's such as yours and folk's dogs and cat's come up missing.:( Again FANTASTIC HUNT! and what a boost for the Hunting Gate. Ed

You made a good coyote out of that one. I have no doubt that you can make that kill. When I was about 15, I was in my front yard shooting my Crosman 2100. A large chow mix had gotten into our fenced in back yard and was attacking one of our cocker spaniels. I tried to run it off but it stood facing me, bared it's teeth at me, and growled at me. I pumped her up to 10 and loaded a Crosman Copperhead pellet (the only kind available at the local Wal Mart back then). I put the front sight right between it's eyes and fired. It turned tail and ran about 50 feet into the wooded lot next door before it dropped dead.  Granted I was only about 8 feet from it, but my gun was less powerful than yours, my pellet was a wadcutter, AND the dog was a lot bigger than a coyote. It was a HUGE dog. It's owners let it run loose all the time and got snotty with us when we told them they needed to keep it in their own damned yard.
Well, it never got loose again. They came around about  a week later, asking if we'd seen it. They had been out of town on vacation when it happened, and had just let it run loose.
Sucked for them.
These little pellets have a lot more penetration than you'd think.

Had a yote who was killing all the quail in my yard. Gamo 440 at 25 yards. Did the job.

Well done mate, i was going to do a post asking about the possibility of taking feral cats with my .177 gamo 440 at 20 yrds with polymags.......I don't think it is such a cazy idea anymore with good shot placement.  Real problem where I am. But all that aside great shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rob

PS..... That looks like a good pelt....did you keep it??

Nice shot! I am just wondering about the chances one has to take with such a shot. I mean, considering the human factor involved, a wrong shot would have left the animal withering in pain with a pellet in his head. Such animals survive at times (yes, they are tough) and go mad, biting, killing anything they come across. Not a chance I would wanna take.
