Hi,

For the life of me I can not remember registering to join this site. But I'm sure glad I did, what an exellent source of information on PCP's and air gunning in general. What started as an oppurtunity to get my two young GrandSon's envolved in 5 meter BB gun competition has grown into a full blown passion for PCP guns and everything and anything related. I originally started by trying to recapture my youth with a Daisy Model 25 (1936 model) ,followed with a Daisy Avanti Model 499 and a Daisy Rough Rider for the Grandson's. Then came the Gamo 440 Hunter, two IZH Model 61's (for the GrandSon's) then a Gamo 440 Hunter followed rapidly by a Gamo Whisper with gas piston. Recently I decided to take a major leap into PCP"S with the addition of both a AF Talon SS and a Condor with all the bells and whistles and add ons.

Mind you this all started innocently with one Daisy Model 25 but, I have to admit it's been a long time since I have been as excited about shooting. Retirement and less than perfect health has really limited my hunting and fishing in recent years. Guns end up sitting in safes gathering dust and the fishing gear has been pushed to a seldom seen area of a storage shed. But, suddenly with the advent of air gunning a trip to the range is as close as the back yard and the basement. The amount of really good and entertaining information is only as far away as the keys to my lap top. I spend hours reading the things others have written, some good some sorta off the wall but all of it fun to read.

I guess the thing I really enjoy about the PCP guns is how closely it's related to hand loading for firearms. I always enjoyed working out all the varitables to produce a really accurate load. With all the possibilities that PCP guns have naturally the problem solving is just a grat added bonus. Thanks to forums like this one there is some where to share those thoughts.

So, thanks to whom ever is responcible for the creation of this fine fourm.

Pete

Welcome aboard Pete. yep you have the the bug for sure..:) You also have crossed the line as well to the Dark Side.. I am an older fart and started out with 1 Gamo Shadow 1000. That was 4 years ago and now I have at least 25 springers and a couple of PCP's. I live in my backyard when weather permits and I sure enjoy this sport/hobby. I have finally got to the point in my life where I really can appreciate the long wait to get to do what I want and that is shoot air guns..:) Please visit often and show us some of your air rifles. You can upload pictures right here and we love pictures..:)
THE ONES I SLEEP WITH: BSA Lightning XL, AA TX-200, AA ProSport, BSA Ultra, HW-97K, Crosman NPSS .177, FX Cyclone, HW-30 Nicle Plated, AA-S200, Crosman Marauder, CZ-634, R-9 DG, Webley/Scott UK Tomahawk, Benji Kantana, Benji Marauder, Benji Discovery.....

Welcome Pete,,,, nice to have you with us...  Randall is  correct, you've found the right place if airguns are your addiction :)

What drew me to my airgun addiction was basically just what you said,,,, my powder burners sit in the gun safe unused for the most part because the air rifles make it so easy to shoot whenever I want and it also permits me to hunt in areas that I would never be able to hunt with powder burners.

A tricked out SS and Condor ????  Good for you man  :)

My wife thinks I'm a nut for being so obsessed with "bb" guns at 51 years old, but I can't help it,,, it's my passion and I just can't get enough of it,,, just like all the other GTA members.   :)

Will be looking forward to your future posts.

Hello Pete nice to have you aboard . I like your choices of PCP's . If you have ran any numbers or done any testing on your condor and talon I would like to see the results . I have a .177 condor that I have listed some numbers here and I would like to see what others are doing as well .Marvin
