No, that is the B28. The TF 89 is a AR1000 clone. The same gun (Beeman version)can be bought at Cheaper Than Dirt for the same money with a scope included.

Thanks Joe, but the scope is hardly worth more than a paper weight and would not hold up to the Beeman nor the TF-89. The TF-89-22 that I own is just as powerful as an RWS 350 but needs tuning out of the box. One could say it is a poor man's Magnum..:) The B-28 of course is closer to an RWS-350 Clone but still no more powerful than the TF-89 or an RWS-350..

I was wondering about the quality of the scope. It is a 3x9 AO. I am a little surprised that you feel the 89 needs a tune. My Titan firing cycle is as smooth as my 94s. The cocking effort is greater, but I don't think a tune will help that. I have a .22 B28 that I got from Mike last week. I have not had a chance to chrono it yet. There is a good bit of recoil with the B28. Seems to me that the piston might be too heavy. I have found that a firm grip is needed when firing the B28, unlike the 94 or Titan.

i always felt like the 89 was good to shoot out of the box...of course, when i eventually get one again, i'm DEF getting it tuned right away!

Joe, I have owned both the Titan and the TF-89. They both were ok out of the box. But you have to remember that what one person likes from an air rifle may differ quite a bit from another person. So with that said I tuned both the Titan and 89. I found there weak points and corrected them. Also they both were very quiet, smooth cocking and fireing cycle was awsome after the tune.I have owned enough different springers to know what I like and I always try to achieve that. My TF-89 is like silk to cock and very smooth fireing cycle. The trigger was tuned to break at 2 lbs. It is the only magnum springer that I own.

I would tend to agree with you about the 89/Titan. It is my second favorite behind my 94s. I really can't think of a better AG for the money other than the Daisy 1000 for $49. I need to spend a little time fixing the trigger on that one.
I sure wish someone would start importing the 94 again - no tune nor trigger job needed. Just insert pellet and pull trigger.

polish the trigger group parts and moly em up...makes em real sweet!(just don't change any of the angles)
