Piston seal problem
« on: December 09, 2008, 01:22:48 AM »
I pulled the seal off the piston to lube my gamo S1K but now I can not get it back on!!  Is there a trick to this?????  I have damaged 2 seals already trying to get them back on.

Hold the seal under warm water then slip it over a 7/16" socket, then put the socket over (On top of)  the piston that is sitting on a bench.......apply pressure to the socket with the palm of your hand and slip it from the socket to the piston, keeping in mind this should be done while the seal is still warm.

I'm sorry for the trouble you had and the two seals you lost, but greatful for the thread.  It made replacing my seal a snap!
