from squirrelhunter
« on: December 10, 2008, 09:41:42 AM »
i noticed that he didn't post this, but he did send me a message, so i'll tell all of you.

last weekend i let him borrow my g1, and 350 mag.22, both of which have been completely tuned.

well, he's been having squirrel problems for a bit, and his airmaster .77 doesn't seem to be gettin em, so thats when i let him use my rifles for the job.  the squirrels around his house tear into his garbage, and really make a mess of things, and we all know, even if they didn't, they sure are fun targets!  so, he saw one this morning, and grabbed the 350, loaded, and let one fly.  HIT!  but then it started dancing around for a bit too long, so after it started to calm down a bit, he put one into its back, and lights out!(he's still gettin used to springers)  later in the day, he saw another squirrel, and thought he'd give his ten pump another try(cuz i kept telling him it would do the job)...and he just put a better scope on her...put the crosshairs on the sweet spot, and SMACK!  after a short death dance, it was over for squirrel #2!

great job on the squirrels, rob!  just keep tryin to hold those break barrels like i told ya...very lightly...HOW COME NO FUR WITH THE G1???;)

keep up the good work!
Dave

Thanks for the post Dave, I couldn't have told it better myself. The G 1 trigger down right scares me. The Trigger is so light, I just cant get used to it. There were a couple of times I was shooting at targets, and I told myself "OK, now your using the G1, remember very light OOPS!!! Just cant really get used to it. Coming from All of my firearms, there is always Some trigger pull, but absolutely NONE with that G1. I guess when you get used to it, it would be great for accuracy. But I just don't have the finesse down yet
These are my Rifle\'s, there are many like them, but these are mine. TF-89

well, you can adjust it if you want...it can go up to i think about 3 lbs of pull, which should be like the 350(gene or bob, correct me if i'm wrong)

Good shooting on the 2 squirrels!  The 350 is a little quirky but it looks like you are mastering it fast.  Is it a .22 or .177?

Oh btw, where are the pics?  :-)
