Back from vacation (a bit graphic)
« on: December 13, 2008, 01:25:51 AM »
Well, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, so they say (except that when you go out and eat well every evening, you do bring a little extra back with you, no matter what they say).  The wife and I did get to see Bette Midler and the Blue Man Group, both good shows.  But it feels good to be back and to be able to pick up the air rifles again -- unless you happen to be a squirrel.  Hadn't given the R9 Goldfinger a crack at one for a while, so I took her out for a backyard stroll this morning.  I have to say that the Bushnell Trophy remains dead on at 25 yards and the R9 / .20 cal. really likes the Beeman FTS pellets.  But even if the R9 is a bit messier and a bit louder than the R7 / .177, it is definitely deadly quick in its work.  Good to be home.

PS:  Joe Santa Cuz - I am told there is a long package waiting for me at the office.  I am going to pick it up this morning.  What could it be?!  Ho Ho Ho!  and thanks again.  More pics later.

Looks like a mercy killing to me
Poor little bugger had a hole in his head & would never have survived for long in that condition.
It was the right thing to do.

...suspect I may be missing something here....or possibly the continuing effects of a couple of pints of locally brewed Imperial Russian stout on a lunchtime (ROCKETFUEL!)
Honest, the wife insisted
