New Crosman 1377 and 2 Rabbits
« on: December 15, 2008, 06:37:09 PM »
I purchased a new Crosman 1377 today and sighted it in inside my garage since it was raining hard all day today. Rain stopped around 22:30 so I went for a ride and stopped at a local park.It had rabbits everywhere. I put the lights on them they were about 25 yards away took aim and the 1st shot bagged a rabbit I was impressed to say the least. Reloaded and took aim on another that was about 30 yards out and 1st shot again direct hit. This new pellet gun is going to be fun to hunt with.

Welcome,,, those are 2 nice shots.  Just wondering,,,, what pellets were you using ??  And I'm assuming you're using iron sights ???

Thanks for the props this air gun thing is fun it reminds me of growing up in Northern Maine except I'm in SoCal. As for ammo I used Crosman Pointed Premium Grade ammo and Iron sights with a pistol I seem to shoot better with iron sights than a scope or a laser sight. Must be a old habit from hunting as a kid.

Wow that's some great shooting for a pistol!  25 & 30yd shots are not easy to accomplish with a pistol especially when you sight in the gun in the garage at what 5-6yds?  How did you know what the holdover or under was going to be?

BTW, did you forget to post the pics?  :-)

I had about 20-22 feet in the garage to sight the 1377 in. I sighted it in with 3 pumps in the gun for dead on sights no 6 o'clock hold here.So I figured that if I shot at 50 to 75 feet with 10 pumps it would still shoot dead on and it did. Sorry no pics on the first hunt I forgot the camera but on the next hunt I will take the time for a photo op.Needless to say I was impressed the pistol shot great for a 50 dollar air gun. Now I'm going to work in my woodshop and make some grips and maybe a stock for it as well I've seen a lot of nice pic's on the web of custom grip mods.
