Airgun Friendly Ranges in CA.
« on: December 22, 2008, 12:50:03 AM »
Hello everyone. This question goes out to my fellow Californians. I live in the central San Joaquin Valley (Merced,CA.) and am interested in finding airgun friendly ranges around (less than 100 miles) me. Thanks for any and all help.

I looked up  and here what I have found: huntingnavigator.com. It has shooting rangies listed in Cali. and there is one in Modesto just about 50 miles from you. It actually says that airguns are allowed. Here is the address and phone:
Modesto Rifle Club
900 Patterson Rd., Modesto, CA 95355
Phone# 209-522-4342
Hope it helps

Sam never been to the one in Modesto but I belong to the one I will list here . I shoot there all the time . You have to be a member to shot the 16 yard indoor range or be with a member to shoot in it . There is a 25, 50 , 100, yard out door ranges as well . Member ship is minimal and that allows you to use the indoors as well as the black powder range with air rifles which gives you 25 , 35 , 50 , 65 , yard ranges as well . It is not heaven but it works for me . There are not a lot of air gunners out there yet but they keep looking at my collection and there is a growing interest . I shoot Monday, Wednesday , and Friday . mid mornings usually . Marvin
