Hi Shadow and welcome to the forum,

On a recent squirrel hunt I got 2 tree rats at 40 yards with my GAMO Black Shadow Supreme .22

NICE SHOOTING JEFF.! Just got a Gamo Shadow sport .177 scoped and lasered. Gun shoots great. Going to get one of those trick triggers from the TUNA MAN. Thanks for the welcome , this airgun site is fantastic. ED

I believe it was a 24 yard shot right between the ears (from behind) on a squirrel.
Shadow if you get a chance try the predator pellets in your shadow, I recently did and they group real tight out to 40yards.

I shoot Mynahs and Starlings at distances of 25-35 yards all the time. About 95% one shot kills

Proudest moments:
 ibis ( http://www.dolejs.com/africa/animals/image/sacred_ibis_5.jpg )  @ 25 yards  --- 1 SHOT KILL
 starling @ 55 yards --- 1 SHOT KILL

I use a BSA Supersport (.177) with Gamo Pro Hunter pellets.
Hardly ever use any other pellets, they are the most accurate in my rifle, and I rather go for shot accurate placement than anything else.

42 yards with my Gamo Shadow 1000 and a predator pellet.

Hit a rabbit in the neck while in a prone shooting position (Me, not the rabbit). He ran half that distance towards me (confused and dying), sat down by a tree and died.

I measured it out later because I was so surprised when I realized how far away he was.

I moved mine up here to be with the cool guys.  Didn't wanna be all alone... :)

Back in about 1987 in WA State I popped a grackle out of the top of a huge alder tree in grandma's backyard at approx. 80 yds. with my trusty Crosman 766 American Classic rated at 765fps.  I shot at it about 6-7 times and finally tagged it with a Crosman Copperhead.
I haven't topped that since, even with my old Sheridan Blue Streak, which is a killin' machine
My best pistol shots' so far were taken here in Colorado in 1992 when I first moved here from the military.  I was messing around in the hills behind a Grade School with my new Crosman 1377.  (I didn't know at the time it was illegal in the City limits)
I was working my way thru strange shrubs, cactuses and grasses etc. that I hadn't seen before whei I popped up near a Water Facility on top of the hill.
There were a couple of cotton tails eyeballin' me and I dropped to a kneeling position and dropped the near one at 39 paces with a headshot delivered by a Crosman Copperhead.  I couldn't believe he just fell over! I had no idea they are so light-skinned.
The second was another 5 paces out and took it the same way.  The reaction was the same.  Bang/Flop!
I've also used a Crosman 1322 on pidgeons from 15-20 yds. offhand from my truck window with fair results but wouldn't do that again with that pistol. I was culling them from a commercial building in town (shame on me!)
It seemed to be at about it's power limit.
I suppose there are some that wouldn't believe me but someone wants to know......

mine was at about 40 yards and the crow was way up in the tree. I got my trusty crosman 766 tuned by Jeff Wolgast with a bsa 3-7X20 scope on it. nice clean headshot and the crow never knew what hit him.

Longest for me was a crow at 53yds using my old (now sold) R-1 in .177 using CPH's. Hit him in the head and he just dropped. I was surprised to find that the pellet went right through at that range.

Oh yeah, I forgot. I had a Weaver T-10 on the R-1 at the time, and I was shooting from a camoed (weeds, sticks, bugs, grass) prone position.

Mine was around 70 yards, unrepeatable LUCKY shot!

I was in a field with my  brother-in law near his  house and saw a rock dove perched on a telephone line  about 70 yards away. He tells me "Betcha 10 bucks you can't hit it" I gave him a little smirk and shouldered my Remington Genesis with the 3-9 Mildot scopt it came with. Gauged the wind,  held over about 5 inches, 2 to the right and let loose. Seemed like a little over a second (long enough to drop the rifle to my waist) later and the pidgeon dropped like a rock. We walked over and sure as hell, nice entry wound to the neck. Got me 10 bucks that day! My brother-in-law still talks about that shot!
