Thomas Keggan and his BeeMan pellets
« on: December 24, 2008, 10:01:11 AM »

Are good luck !!!!! Thomas and I done a lil lead swap the other week and I finally found some daylight to see how they do..I got out the tape and measured 60' from muzzle to target, nuzzled in behind her and slowly loaded a pellet..Catches and bit and it's tight, off to a bad start already...First shot strkes dead center perfect and I start to smile a bit..Second,third,fourth and fifth rounds fall into a0.505 semi circle a bit low..Not great for this gun but I'll wash em and see if they tighted up any, im pretty sure the large forward edge is catching on the breech when inserted and causing the inaccuracy..Owell might as well shoot some while I can I say so I get back inside and talk with the wife a bit, turn around to get shootinand what appears on the target box but a fuzzy lil tree weasel !! Holy&^%$*& !!! First squirrel ive seen in more than 30 days and I sure dont share Jeffs Christmas spirit so ...Well you know how this ends..

Nice nutter Brent,,, rifle looks great.    I think the squirrels in my yard know that we have a truce until the day after Christmas cause they've been out there all afternoon.....

It's a good sign that the nutters have started coming back to your area,,,, you should be gettin more shootin  :)

That silly nutter made it too easy for ya.....just when you've sighted in the airgun...he/she appears at exactly the same distance.  Maybe he/she will be smarter in their next life.  heh heh

Merry Christmas, Brent.  Good shot, and by the way, the stippling job you did on the CFX looks really nice.  Is that the first squirrel since you worked on the stock?  I know it's been a while since I've seen you post a kill.

There's no place like home,....Hey Brent, I hope over time your hot-rod shooter will become more "user friendly" with the SB's. I 've always had good results with the .17's but like I said they're just a tad to lite for my .22  34,......Dang!!!!!!! Just got home a few hours ago, trying to get settled in and catch up on all the GTA gossip!!!!!! More on that in a new thread. I do hope you'll get a better feel for those pellets though,....I've never had nothing but good luck with them,...Personally I like the ring around the front side  producing a fatal  ripping into the flesh and kind of ping-ponging the internals of the BT's I've taken with them,......but hell man, that looked like a 'noggin' shot to me!!!!!!!! Best Wishes, tjk
PS. I got on-line last night on my niece's lap-top,....but without a mouse, I may as well have been using my feet!!!!!! LOL's, T
