scope bracket cleaning trick
« on: December 27, 2008, 12:56:00 AM »
thought I might share this - I was re-mounting a scope on my airgun and trying to figure out a way to clean out the loctite in the scope threads... I take a Q-tip, dip it in goo gone, and turn it through the threads just like a screw - works like a dream! works just as good on stock threads...

Thanks for the information Jason,

I have always use acetone and a brass brush, when removing loctite. This is a much safer method !

Who wodda thunk that Goo-Gone would be that versatile ..

Thanks for sharing !
