There is a sporting goods store in Smyrna, Georgia that is engaged in a court battle with the mayor of NYC. Adventure Outdoors legally sold a handgun which was subsequently stolen and turned up several years later in a crime in New York. The mayor of New York filed a law suit against Adventure Outdoors. Let's look at how stupid this is.
Imagine you go to a car dealer and buy a new Dodge Ram pickup, it is stolen while you are having a latte' in Starbucks and the thief has a wreck while driving your truck and injures or kills someone. As a result the Dodge dealer who sold the truck to you is sued by the mayor of the town where the wreck occurred. How stupid is this????????????
