rws 350 magnum
« on: December 28, 2008, 12:30:48 AM »
Hi i'm new to the forum , i just bought an rws 350 mag and haven't seen much on the forum about them the only thing i read about them was not good. I shopped around for 2 years before buying this gun , i have had gamos and didn't like them at all (that whisper is a bunch of crap it's just as loud as my rws 34 panther and the panther is a .22 cal ) this 350 mag is consistantly accurate right out of the box (iron sites) I LOVE IT! from 50 yds i hit 11 out of 12  16 oz water bottles. that's pretty good to me. can someone direct me to a section on this site that i can find out more about them ?

                                thanks johnp

Hello and welcome to the GTA family. You have a wonderful rifle there johnp. Don't beleive everything you read on the forums. The 350 is an excellent rifle and can be mastered like any other gun. Those who have bad things to say about it didn't take the time to learn to shoot it. I have a 350 in .22 that was tuned by Gene from this forum and it is a fantastic hunting machine. Enjoy your new gun and let us know how you get along with it over time. Happy holidays.

I have a 350 Mag that  I purchased from and was tuned by John in PA. Mine is a .177 and has had the barrel chopped, crowned and a muzzle brake installed. I can honestly say this is the most consistent air rifle I have. It is a strong and accurate shooter. You will love yours when you get use to shooting it. Enjoy !!!

Hello, the 350 is a great rifle.
Like someone else said, don't believe all you read.
Every rifle has its own personality that you have to learn.
If its already shooting great for you, then read up on some points about hold and so forth.
You will be amazed at how just holding your rifle differently will affect it.

Now about the tune, It's nothing that has to be done but I will say this.
If you really like your rifle now, you will be absolutely in love with it after a tune.
I had a Gamo done by CDT, man did it make a nice rifle.
My only problem was learning how to shoot the dear thing.
Once I found what she liked, she was very nice to and for me.
The same will hold true to your RWS. If Charlie could do what he did for mine,
I would live to see what Charlie or Gene could do for that.

Have a great day and welcome to the best forum around.

Yes I have to say that the RWS 350 is an excellent example of how wella goodquality springerreact to a tune. The cocking and firing cycle really improves and overall fps variable generally turns out great.

Phil,
It sure looks like the one I have other than the brake on it. It is different but whos to say that John  or a previous owner didn't change it out. It's probably found it's last home this time around. Thanks for the links, I really enjoyed reading them.
