where is the best place to buy pellets?
« on: December 28, 2008, 11:42:20 AM »
Where I live there isn't a very large selection of pellets, Wal-Marts here only carry crossman and daisy .177, I've looked at my local sporting goods store and even their selection is very limited, they do sell a few Gamo guns but didn't have any Gamo pellets in .22, I have looked at Pyramyd Air's website but I wondered if there was anywhere better?

Well if you want a good selection of pellets then you are gonna have to buy online.. Look in the GTA Mall. Most all retailers sell pellets. Pay attention to Midsouth, they can be high and cheaper on some pellet brands.

Yep, its time to shop online...

Shawn, in case you didn't know....Pyramyd has a special "buy 4 tins get 1 free" on their pellets...so you only pay for three tins. 4th free tin is cumalative, so if you buy 8 tins you get 2 free and only pay for 6 tins, if you buy 12 tins you get 3 free and only pay for 9, and so on.You have to remember to figure in that free tin, when comparing prices from Pyramyd, and in general I find that Pyramyd has the best deal. One thing to watch out for is that the cheapest pellets in your order are the ones that are free. Pyramyd also has 10% discount checkoutcodes that you can use, further reducing the price. If you order more than $149.99 in merchandise...the shipping is free, but that cannot be combined with the 10% discount, so its either one or the other, not both.

And like Gene said--sometimes Midsouth is a great place for bargains on pellets, and other things too. I've bought a lot of stuff from Midsouth, some pellets, airguns, and accessories. Pyramyd and Midsouth are the first 2 places I look for anything airgun related. And then there's Natchez, DNRSports, MidwayUsa, Airguns of Arizona, Galati International, R&R Arms, to name a few.

I got my Kodiak Double Golds from PyramidAir. The free 4th tin offset the shipping, so it was like buying it from a store, only I had to wait.

I'm going to be looking for a slightly lighter pellet.. I have about a thousand 10.6 grain ones. I'll probably look for a low 9/ high 8 soon.

I was looking for some Predators for my Big cat as they come highly reccomended by Bill and the Gamo crew.. Tried my local Bass Pro shop.. they had only the .22 and.20, .177 was empty.  Cabelas was the same thing, and so was my neighbor hood outdoor superstore.. scheels had nothing, walmart had nothing.. I got discouraged and finally bought them online... not being able to find them must mean they're good for something..
