Wow power wheel
« on: January 04, 2009, 05:57:33 AM »
I have been out back shootin the new AA S400 FAC and i had no idea that the power wheel made such a difference..  I thought I had it on 3/4 but I noticed the little + and - marks and it seems i had it on 1/4 power.
I turned it up and took a shot and it was ear snappin...  wow, I think i need a thingy on the end of it now...
what a difference.. I put a 2x4 out there and shot it again and it went most of the way thru it.  The only problem i see with it is if you just barly move the wheel it changes the poi a bunch...   I guess I need to find a happy medium and stick with it so it will be sighted in....  It seems to love preds and rws superdomes.. at 1/4 power .   I thought it was powerfull at that setting..  Talk about a shocker at full power...
Where do you guys keep yours, I mean what power level have you found to be best....

Hi....the Evanix is full power no adjuster.
the Career has 3 maked setting 400fps/900fps/1220fps
for 16gr pellets "Preditor's" I use the 900 setting & Eun jin's the 1220fps setting.
The diffrent's is 12 shots on 1220fps compaired to 22 at 900fps before you
notice the power droping off. And after 22 shots at the 900 setting I wined
it up to full and you can shoot it down to 100 bar "1/2 pressure" &  it will
still take out bunny's to 40/50m

I keep mine on mid power on both my AA 410-C .22 and the FX Cyclone .22. I have no need to shoot any long distance and most of my shooting is in the 30 to 50 yard range and mostly the 30 to40 range. Both of mine shoot very accurate with the AA Pellets or the Priemier's.
THE ONES I SLEEP WITH: BSA Lightning XL, AA TX-200, AA ProSport, BSA Ultra, HW-97K, Crosman NPSS .177, FX Cyclone, HW-30 Nicle Plated, AA-S200, Crosman Marauder, CZ-634, R-9 DG, Webley/Scott UK Tomahawk, Benji Kantana, Benji Marauder, Benji Discovery.....

Been only using my AA410s indoors at 9 meter distance...so I put the power wheel at lowest level.  I can get more than 60  shots out of one fill...200BAR.  When I want to shoot thru 3 soup cans I put the level up to 3/4 power and it gets the job done.  I get 40 shots with one fill.....plus abit left over.
