I went to check on a recent order and got the following message:!!

"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

   Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

   What you can try:
     Diagnose Connection Problems

     More information

This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:

Internet connectivity has been lost.
The website is temporarily unavailable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.

For offline users

You can still view subscribed feeds and some recently viewed webpages.
To view subscribed feeds

Click the Favorites Center button , click Feeds, and then click the feed you want to view.

To view recently visited webpages (might not work on all pages)

Click Tools , and then click Work Offline.
Click the Favorites Center button , click History, and then click the page you want to view. "

Yikes!  Hope they haven't gone belly up!!

Same here!  I just placed an order from them and my credit card has been charged!

I called their phone number.  It has not been disconnected.  But, they were closed.  I'll try again tomorrow and post here.

I was able to get it to come up earlier today (home page, did not try the airgun section). But it does not come up now.
Mike
EDIT:(on 01/06/09) The more I think about it, the more I think that I was confusing SouthSummit with SportsmanTarget. Sorry about that!

I called South Summit today and talked to Randy.  He said they were in the process of moving their servers when they experienced a problem that took them done for a few days.  He felt confident that the site would be back online by the weekend.

Hope this helps.

Glad you were able to check.  I was worried too; just got my print catalog last week, then saw site was down.

Still Down This Morning, Saturday January 10
« Reply #12 on: January 10, 2009, 12:39:22 AM »
So much for being up by the weekend.  Tried this morning and they are still down.  I hope we have not been fed a line here.  Seems strange, in this day and age, that a website could be down for a week.
