Barrel Choppers
« on: January 09, 2009, 05:40:15 AM »
Hey guys I have 2 Crosman Seiarra Pro's sitting in the corner. I'm thinking of cropping one of the barrels to 13" and havin a muzzel break put on her. I kinda like the looks of the 34 panther compact. Do you think the chop will effect the accuracy any provided theres a choke?

I chopped about 5 inches off my 850 Airmagum and the poi opened up to almost 1 inch. But after rechoking, it closed back down to 1/4" at 10m. Overall it is now almost the same length as my BSA Lightning. I also chopped a TF15 as my first guinea pig It also needed some choke to get it back towards stock accuracy. But cocking it is definitley harder..

Thanks CAP. I'll have the boys at the shop check into a 17 cal crowning tool or see if they have something that will work on that small cal.
