Hav'nt read to much about the B30. Any owners out there? What do think of them?

Lots of people like them and brother Jaymo is quite eloquent on the B30, if you care to search up some of his posts. I don't have one, but I have the RWS48 that it clones- how bad could it be? I think you can get the prepped version from Mike Melick that would eliminate some of the randomness of Chinese QA.

I have one in .177. Mine shoots 7.9g cphp's at a hair over 1000fps. It had a pretty harsh firing cycle out of the box. After a lube tune, trigger polish and an apex seal, it has become one of my favorites. My father has the RWS 52 and side by side, the RWS has nicer wood and a lighter trigger (T05). Our rifles are equally as accurate and hard hitting. I may have gotten lucky with mine. I hear people saying that the QC isn't all that great on a lot of the B series rifles. I've been lucky with my purchases. Like Dave said, you can skip the guess work and order one from Mike.

For sure there is nothing really bad about the B series air rifles. Of course they will not have the fit and finish of a Euro made air rifle but thank God that the Chinese have made clones of some of the best Euro shooters that fits some of our budgets. And with a good tune they are almost equal to the original Euro air rifles.

Mike dos'nt have any right now so I'm thinking of getting one somewheres else and getting it tuned. You tune these don't you Gene?

Yeah, mang. I have a B30-1 in .22 cal. It was a good shooter out of the box, despite the rough trigger and harsh twangy firing cycle. I tuned mine using James Maccari seals, tune kit, and lubes. It made an unbelievable difference. It's a smooth shooter with a smooth, solid thunk. No more roughness or twang. I stoned my trigger assembly contact surfaces and the trigger is pretty darned nice. Not as light as a Rekord trigger, but I bought this gun to be a hunter, not a match gun. It works just fine as a hunter.
IIRC, mine is averaging 765 fps with 14.5 grain RWS .22 Superdomes. Knocks the snot out of squirrels. I love mine.
I highly recommend it. Either way you go, get it tuned with Maccari parts. James Maccari parts have the stellar reputation because they ARE as good as people say, maybe even better.
If you buy yours tuned from Mike or if you buy one and have Gene tune it with Maccari parts, you will not be disappointed. Especially if you shoot 50 or so rounds through it before you have it tuned, just so you can appreciate the difference.
I have a B40 that I bought, tuned, from Mike Melick and it's a fantastic shooter also. It's about 30 fps slower than the B30, which isn't bad at all. It's a fantastic shooter, too. Just depends on what style of cocking lever you prefer. The B40 is shorter and handier. The B30 is a little more powerful, and easy to install a bipod on, as I did with mine.
If you search for threads posted by me, you'll find one about some chronograph testing I did. It'll give you some insight.

Basically, if you want an air rifle that tunes up nicely and knocks the snot out of small game, the B30 is a good choice. The chinese chose a good gun to copy, when they cloned the RWS 48.

Hopefully soon I'll install my new Maccari seals and tune kit in my Weihrauch. Gonna get rid of that twang and get it back to shooting like it should.

Good write up, Jeremy. I knew a B30 thread would flush you out of the brambles.

Jus' been blazing away with the gf'sR7 and my Cometa pistol (RWS9N) today. Thinking about sending my B26 into old Mike to see what the experts can do. How's that Delrin holding out? Make anything useful?

Dave, the Delrin's holding out just fine. Thanks again. Haven't gotten to do much  machining lately. I have a JM tune kit and seals for my Weihrauch that I haven't even had the chance to install yet. Had it since just after Christmas. Isn't that pathetic?
Yeah, haven't been around much lately. My short attention span has had me obsessed with rimfires and my pocketknife collection at the current time. Still trying to find that perfect knife to use for everything at work.
I'll try to pop in here more often than I have.
I actually need to turn/part a piece of that Delrin into a magazine plug for my Winchester 141(tube fed through the buttstock) .22 bolt action. Got in in like new condition for $60.00 on sale at the gun shop. Only thing wrong is the mag tube plug. Easy enough to fix.
