I got to thinking about how much money is
« on: December 06, 2006, 06:17:16 AM »
spent by the guys buying airguns and associated accessories. I know that some of you guys spend a bunch. Now let's take Gene as an example. If I had the money that he has spent on airguns this year... I'd take the whole forum out to lunch.....................................for a week :D  :D

Will someone tip the waitress please :p  :p

Not so loud Mike. The next thing you know, he will be backing a trailer up my drive wanting me to tune it. The biggest problem would be that I don't have any pumpin's to chrony it with...lol...

I've actually kept a file in which I have the receipt for every single air gun related purchase I've made since getting addicted to the sport and when I added it all up I was shocked just how much I've spent.  Definately money well spent as far as I'm concerned, but it certainly does add up.  I think you'd need to borrow one of those massive state of the are computers from NASA to compute Gene's total :)

I know I'll never catch up to him, but I'm gonna keep trying  :)

OK Guys....... If the truth be known... Da Tuna made me buy all the guns.. hehe

Actually I have had the best time of my life this last year...  And if it were not for CDT and all of you guys, I would not have learned as much as I have about different air guns. The fact is I am totally Addicted now... hehe. I am not as brave as Jeff. I throw my reciepts away. hehehe.......... Me ticker would not be able to take it.... lol  And just put out another $60.00 for food fer my lil babys. They are very hungry. hehe  Everytime there is a new pellet review, I can feel me wallet give me a nudge. hehe

I would of thought that you guys would of noticed that I sold four of my collection..:) I am down to 18 air guns now.. hehe. 9 Gamo's, 1 TF 99, 1 QB, 1 xman 1377, 2 xman 2040's, 1 2050ma, 1 Samatra PCP, 1 FX Cyclone. :) But like Jeff said, "money well spent"..

And Dave keeps sayin I need to change me signature so I guess I will submit to his request now .. hehe. Dano keeps askin me to bring my stuff over to his house.. hehe. Guess he wants me to leave everything there so he can take measurments..:)

And thanks for all your support..

Bills get paid on time, some money get saved...wife has no complaints about the airgun $ but I'm not extravagant....cheaper than centerfire toys.  Doesn't seem too excessive to her (she's into photography, so airguns seem cheap by comparison).

Now I've offered to spend less...would save 1/2 the gun money and spend the other 1/2 on booze, gambling, and hookers...air guns seemed like a much better idea to her.

Yes of course.....

....measurements is what I'm after.  The best part of airguns is buying them to take measurements for making grips and stocks.  Once I've made a set or 10 I'm usually not very interested in the gun anymore.  Which brings me back to the 1322 I just built.  Looks like it's going and I have a person who wants it....yay me!  It will be traded for a 2260 me thinks, never built a stock for one of those.....Oops, was that out loud?  Disregard this and the comment I made a day or two ago about that huge chunk of Bubinga hard wood I bought myself for Christmas:)

Yes Gene, if you knock and no-one answers, just leave them on the porch...they'll be safe there.  You can pick them up in a month or so, no harm, no foul, but they may have a little sawdust on them:)

I mostly beg, borrow and steal most of my airgun money, so it's not really a huge deal...for example:

"Honey, please, it's like the best airgun ever, I really need one, please, can I, please, I'll vacuum and do the dishes for a month, please?????"

"Son, I know you want that new Tony Hawk video game, but I swear I'll pay you back on payday, and you can get TWO video games, so uhm, you got a few bucks you can loan me for that new brass bolt with the extended bolt probe?"

"*whistling to self*.....hehe, he's only 2, he wont notice this college money missing for 16 more years....hehe...*whistling more*"
