Chinese QB36-2

I have a couple of Chinese QB 36-2 under lever air rifles in 177.  I am impressed!  They are large heavy guns (just what I like).  They seem to be very accurate...once you clean the gunk out of the cylinder and bore.  I like the well made iron sights, and the air rifle holds well.  I also really like the large beefy Mahognay stock.  They shoot very well with Beeman Kodiak pellets, and RWS Supermag pellets.  At 25 yards I have got several ragged one hole groups with these air rifles.  Tonight about an hour ago I put an RWS 4X12X50 30mm scope on one of them.  I like how that combo looks and feels.  Again I like a heavy gun (maybe because of me being used to the National Match M-14 lug gun, and the M-21 snoper rifle with the old Leatherwood scope)  I shot my QB36-2 with the big RWS scope indoors at 10 yards, and outside (night shooting) at a big trash can about 200 feet away.  The RWS 50mm scope does gather light, I had no problem seeing the targets  I was shooting at.  I bought my first one at a Kansas Gunshow in Wichita for $85.  I liked it so well I picked up another from the same dealer this fall for $75...a great price for this gun.  I have shot about 200 rounds through both guns with not one problem.  I think the QB 36-2 is a great buy!  If anyone wants a well made, accurate low cost spring gun..this is it.  What do you think of the gun?

I was not crazy about the weight but it is a well-made and accurate rifle. Mine benefited from polishing the crown, which was only a little ragged, and groups tightened up. Did what I could to smooth the trigger and put a big ol' Centerpoint on it. I wouldn't want to carry it in the woods all day, but as a bench gun it is great, especially for the $$. This gun is also sold as TF99 and they are identical. Sounds like you have a couple of good ones, also.

The one I had was a shooter also, took quit a few gophers with it out to sixty yards.

One Mine is heavy with the big RWS scope, but it helps me hold steady, the other one is my iron sight gun, with nice sights.  For hunting...to carry it in the woods all day, and keep it charged, the Good Lord provided me with a couple of Sheridan Blue Streaks in 5mm.  One is my fathers/little brothers air-rifle...when I was home a few years ago I traded my dad a Silver Streak (he wanted it) for his/and my little brothers (my brother is 44) Blue streak.  I had bought the Silver Streak at a OK City gun-show...the guy I bought it from said it had been his dads air-rifle.  From his father, to my father...he is 86.  I gave him a RWS 36, and he still shoots it.  He would not accept that it shot at 1000fps...tell he shot it!  Then he called me, and said;"You were right...it is that fast".

BigCat1:Cool!  You must like it.  It has to be accurate to hit a amall animal like that.  Do you have any optics on yours?  Is there a Gamo air rifle called a "Big-Cat"?

It was pretty accurate but I did alot of work to it, (I no longer have it)(moved on to some HW's&Beeman's) I had a leapers 3x9 on it, and yes there is a gamo called Big Cat my first air gun since I was  a kid but I quickly learned it was not what I wanted that's about all I'll say about that thing.........Enjoy

Oh, may the Lord bless him. I hope to still be shooting at 86...but the pit man better keep his head down!
