I have been on a roll the last couple months with the mid range to lower end TF air rifles in .177. One I gave to Ed AKA Shadow of Shadow Camo Works. It was a TF-59 which I had moded with a delrin piston sleeve plus a few other tricks..
After the TF-59 I bought a TF-49 which I think cost around $65.00 plus $10.00 shipping from Comasseco. I was hoping the TF-49 and TF-59 had the same trigger as the TF-89 which is one great trigger IMO next to the B-26 trigger. On a good note the TF-59 was a Gamo cloned trigger and I was able to fit the GRT-III trigger in it. Now the TF-49 had your run of the mill Chinese mouse trap trigger..

But was able to do a bit of tuning on it to get a crisp release. Ended up with more free play than I liked but it did turn out very crisp on the break. It is advertised at 800 fps from Compasseco, but the best I could get out of it before the tune was around 720 fps on the average, After the tune I was getting a wopping average of 760 fps with JSB's...

That is still good for what I plan on using it for. I mounted a Tasco Golden antler 3-9X32 AO scope on it and set up a target at 20 yards with my new Bushnell range finder...

, which I got a great deal on from Optics Planet. Hitting inside 1" circle 7 out of 10 shots. I did not take any pictures of the target because I was testing a customers freshly tuned TF-89 and had used up most of the targets already.
On a special note the cocking effort is less than 25 lbs and is very light weight. It would be an excellent shooter for a youngster or a woman just learning to shoot.
Anyway here is the TF-49 which looks to me like smaller version of the TF-89.
