Breaks from Peterdragin (long post)
« on: December 10, 2006, 02:31:34 PM »
I'm in the process of changing over the wood of my Legacy to the Genesis stock.  Wanting to remove the front sight, which is somewhat ugly and wanting a cocking handle, a  email to Rich aka. Peterdragin.  I wanted a smooth shadow type brake to put on the barrel.  Rich sent me a fluted one by mistake, which another email a replacement would be on the way. Well as all good things go bad, the replacement never arrived.  So after almost two weeks of waiting another email to Rich explaining that I never received the replacement break, he said he would make good and make me another one.  Wanting one with just a little less mass, ( the fluted one is fat ) I inquired if it could be made smaller OD, which  Rich said was no problem . He show me a picture of a moly gray marble looking break , said if I wanted that he would send it if I wanted.  Well thinking about while waiting for the replacement to show, I told him I'd pass , just the smooth black break 1" OD would do.
Well after waiting a week, two emails to Rich , the second replacement break came in.  In my emails with Rich, he told me he had a small surprise that I might like.  WELL when I opened the package, not only was the break I original had wanted was there ,  Rich had " refined" that moly marble type looking  break.   It now sported a carbon fiber with brass ring around the top and bottom of the break.  What a delight to see this.
Now the only problem I'm having is which one I want to put on the Genesis stock.
Rich, you need to start offering this break, even if its only 1" OD , it is just one really nice break.
OH , pic's you say. here ya go ! ! !
