Bushnell Trophy 6-18x40 on a CFX

Will the Bushnell Trophy 6-18x40 fit on my CFX? It's 14.8 long, I thougt I read some were that you can't go longer than 13.5.  Thanks for any help. Cougar

It'll fit, Kirk, but by the time you clear the loading port, you may have a problem with eye relief.  That 13.5" clearance isn't a hard and fast rule, it's just based on my experience with a CFX and various scopes.  Lots of variables, scope eye relief, your own preference in scope setup, LOP of the rifle and how long your arms are, all of these will impact how long a scope can be.

BTW, I think a 6-18 is probably more scope than you need for a CFX, I always felt 3 or 4-12 was about perfect for most springers, unless you shoot FT or BR.  Good luck.

Thanks Dave I just checked with Natchez about getting a 4-12x40 online and it said they were out . I called them up and they said Bushnell stop making the 4-12x40 AO Trophy. So now the search is on. LOL Thanks for the help.  Cougar

Check the Mall, look at SWFA Optics and Optics Planet.  Optics Planet also offers free shipping, IIRC, and probably some of the best prices around on what they have.  You might also want to look at the Legend series, about the same price as the Trophies.  Later.
