I just installed a new .20 Walther barrel in a customer’s Real tree Hunter.
I first installed a 17 inch barrel and shot the rifle over the crony 726 fps, I pulled that one out and put in a 15 inch barrel and it shot a 784 average all with 11.2 FTS's, it will go above 800 after the barrel choke breaks in a little. I know this because mine is getting better and better it's shooting 11.2's at 810 right now.
This is a Russ Best tuned rifle with a Tarantula spring so it was pretty good to start with.
When the rifle arrived it was shooting 7.9's at 886 fps.
This is the same thing I found out when I shortened the barrel on my own .20 Shadow it got faster with the shorter barrel but is still as accurate as the 17 inch barrel.
