Another British BB gun
« on: January 24, 2009, 01:23:33 AM »
I have been keeping my eye out to add one more PCP rifle to the stable. I wanted a 20 + ftlb., multi shot .177 to complement the perfomance range between my single shot .177 BSA Ultra and my .22 Sportsman HV. Having a fondness for British rilfes I had been considering another BSA or an AA S410. Well, I found this little gem on another forum's classifieds a couple of days ago. Despite my best efforts to resist pushing the button, the lure was too much and I made a deal on it. We'll see if my Beezers are jealous. This new BB gun should be here next week.

Sorry about the pic quality, copied from the add.......

The current stable, (arsenal, quiver?): BSA Lightning XL .177, BSA Sportsman HV .22, BSA Ultra .177, CZ634 .177, Daystate Harrier X .177, TAU 200 Senior .177, HW 97 .177, HW 50s .177, HW 30 .177, RWS 92 .177, Gamo 126 MC Super, Gamo Big Cat .177, AR2078A, QB78 .177, Quest 1000 .177, Beeman SS650 .177., Beeman P17 .177.

Beautiful piece, Steph, but you need to branch out and look as some Swedish guns :-).  That will make a nice addition to your airsenal, having a .177 repeater is a very good thing.  I did discover one drawback last night.  I was shooting my new to me S200 in my shop, took a shot, worked the bolt and fired again.  Only problem is, I forgot to load another pellet!  No harm done, but I felt kind of foolish.  I guess I've gotten too used to my Cyclone.  Looking forward to your latest review.  Later.

I saw your request for more info on the classifieds and thought to myself,"She's gonna buy all of the good ones!".  I haven't owned a Daystate.....yet.....but my yearly bonus at work will be here in March and I have been thinking MKIIII a bunch, doubt my wife will let that happen though:(

Congrats on the new shooter!

Ya need the magazine system Dave, it's pretty slick and worth the $100 for sure.  To be honest I think my S400C is going to get a little neglected from here on out.

Nice addition , Peak . Let us know how she performs . I have an opportunity to buy a Beeman Mako , which was made by Daystate for Beeeman . It would require resealing (leaks) and I would have to buy a fill probe. Or I could just wait for the Marauder . kirby
