Anybody seen this?
« on: January 25, 2009, 04:06:24 AM »

I would like some feedback on this. I have never tuned an air rifle, but I saw some problems in the procedure. Also, is the spring he's re-using still servicable? It looked like one end was slightly "sprung".

Hey John,

I wish they showed information about that grease, if it is petroleum based, he's in for a lot of dieseling and probably detonation.

There are many posts here and in the Library by Bob, CharlieDaTuna, that explainthe proper lubes to use, as well as were to put them.

Bill...did you look at the spring before he put it back together? It looked a little less than straight.

Wow, must be the good stuff, one grease greases all as done in Greece by the master greaser. I think he is in for a explosive event.

I can say for sure he is not a GTA member! the first gun I tuned was a used R7  I got for a deal. Before I even TRIED to do anything, I spent a month researching every website that I could find...and ran across this forum in the process. Read Charlie's site on lubes and learned a lot more about springers! Found a tutorial on tuning the R7 on Pyramids link site....that actually gave me the confidence to do it! hard to believe with all this info out that some monkeys are going to wreck a perfectly good gun and possibly injure themselves. Gene, you should post that as a "Don't do" video! If anything, proper lubes will increase the shootability if applied correctly to your gun.
Research, use the right tools, take your time, and do it right the first time!

Never had a Gamo apart  But the Kral's are a copy of Gamo....
If you push the spring/end plug right in that steped plastic collar
stops the trigger unit from fiting down in the slot.
the trigger unit has to drop in the slot then move forward
3 or 4 mm so the step on the collar can set against the rear
of the holding lugs on the trigger unit.

Hope Gamo's are the same as Kral's

It looks just like my quest.  You have to put it together in that order, as far as I can tell.    There isn't much preload on the spring, either.
