OK, Here's a Group Shot with a Pumper....
« on: January 26, 2009, 11:11:13 AM »
Shot this group last summer with my modified Crosman 760.
20 yards, sitting cross legged on the ground. There's 10 shots there (.177 Gamo Hunters as noted), 5 pumps each. One shot I messed up.

I never get tired of looking at that 760.
Best I have seen online.
Crosman needs to take a design lesson from you.

If they built them looking like that, they wouldn't be able
to keep them on the shelves.

Nice grouping, considering 760's are not even rifled, am I correct?

Looks like you got your wish for a Pumper Target Gate

Thanks.
Normal 760's have smoothbore barrels, but this one has a Crosman 1760 barrel machined to fit by Roy at Mountain Air custom airguns.
Like I said this was off hand, just sitting on the ground, no bench or rest, not even a field target position. With the smoothbore 760 the best I get is a pattern about 1.5" to 2" at 20yds! :)

Nice group and nice gun.

That's a great looking gun. What about the 760 XLS? That one is supposed to have a rifled barrel. I have considered getting one of those, as they also come with a wood stock and forend. They can be had for about $65.00.

The 760 XLS wasn't available when I built my rifled 760. If I was to do another custom 760 I think I might check with Crosman and order an XLS barrel.
