Hey, Rich, FrankenGamo update?
« on: December 16, 2006, 03:45:10 AM »
How's it going with the .20 conversion on the 1250?  Any info yet?  Just curious, I imagine you're pretty busy with Christmas stuff.  Later.

I have been so busy making those main spring compressors I just haven't had the time.

Also I HATE WOOD !!! it makes a mess of my little shop, at least with metal and plastics they are a bunch easier to clean up the wood shavings and dust goes everywhere.

I took the 1250 apart because I couldn't stand the awfull spring noise it HAD.
Still haven't got around to the .20 barrel yet but that is planed in the next two weeks.

Threeguns brother was over and shot my 1250 and left his and said he wants it like mine with a .20 barrel and tuned. They sure have a different top hat and rear guide in them, almost a pound in weight total for the both.
I shot it over the crony with 9.5 gr supermags and it shot before the teardown 1035 fps, I removed half the top hat weight and made a custom rear spring guide assembly and re assembled it and not it's shooting 9.5 supermags at 1125, along with a "Q" it is real quiet and smooth.

It now feels more like a Shadow when you fire it than a 1250, even after a shot your scope is still on target, it does not jump around a shift all over the place when you shoot it,
maybe it's because the thing weighs like a hundred pounds, damn it's a hunk of rifle.
