Mike Melick is a gentleman and a scholar!
« on: January 28, 2009, 01:04:57 PM »
Well, between me and my life long friend I purchased 3 rifles from Mike Melick.  What a pleasure to do business with this man.  The stock on one of the B-26's was broken and within minutes of sending him an e-mail he responded with the message he will be sending another stock tomorrow.  Things happen, that's life.  I work in customer service for Atlanta's and the nations largest piano retailer.  If you are considering a BAM, consider Mike.  Customer service is everything.  When I consider the base price of a B-40 at any dealer and then look at the cost of shipping and a tune, this was a terrific buy.
My friend Tony and I each now have a Mike Melick tuned B-26 and this coming weekend looks like it's going to be lots of fun when Tony and I start breaking them in and begin our search for the perfect pellet to feed these babies.  I'm not a fan of the wood or the finish but neither are more than personal preference issues.  The guns all seem very well made.  I hope to post some targets soon with these babies that will make you eat your hearts out. :D

Although I have never met Mike, my opinion of him is very high on my list. He is a gentleman and a very good tuner. We are friends and often help each other.

I recently received a B26-2 from Mike.  The stock was damaged during shipping and like you, within minutes of my email to him he offered to have another stock in the mail.  I asked if I could wait till the new low comb stocks were in if I could get one of them instead and he agreed.  What great customer service!  The little shooting I have done with my b26-2 has been fantastic.  What a great, super smooth shooter.  I think once I get the stock straightened out I will have a shooter for life.

Thanks Mike!
