Default target gate?
« on: January 29, 2009, 12:11:31 AM »
You guys give some feedback on this, what about a default target area regardless of powerplant?  When I was initially posting "Shooting offhand#1"  I thought it was someting that should be in an inclusive area rather than "springer".  In effect I'm using the Springer as the default gate down here for such posts but don't want ignore the other areas.
P.S.  I'm going to get some pics up for positions to go along with my dissertations on environmental lead pollution.;o)

That`s a good idea.....so a thread can be for different types of airguns, shooting position and pellets etc.          "Dissertations".....that`s a new word to me....have to go check up on that.

Good idea. Call it "General Target Gate".

Would you all want this to be for both pistola's and rifles?

I would think anything target related but platform independent.  Charlotte's posts on Offhand Shooting 101 and shooting with glasses are perfect examples, they're both good info regardless of what you shoot.  So I'd say yes, rifles and pistols of any powerplant.  Later.

It strikes me that having a general target "waterin hole" would be the most logical way for things to develop. Then folks can move in whatever direction pleases them and the interest forums will come about naturally.  The most logical split would be rifle and pistol but I think there needs to be a general gathering place to move out from.

Exactly, sort of a "Town Common" sort of area. It may end up being more work for the moderatos though. They may end up like traffic cops directing people to the right areas. The logical way, if executed at all, may be to add just a overall general area and see what takes place. If there is too much confustion, then split it.
Just my 2 cents.
